  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to operate within a team environment
  • Have previous experience in coaching Men's basketball at the collegiate level as a full-time employee, graduate student, or intern preferred.
  • Assisting the Head Men's Basketball coach in both coaching and recruiting duties as assigned by the head coach
  • Perform duties in all pre-season, in-season, and off-season practice sessions 
  • Perform during intercollegiate competitions
  • Perform administrative duties to include, but not limited to conducting study halls, checking class attendance of student-athletes, team travel plans, and assisting with equipment
  • Attend NCAA compliance education sessions and stay abreast of and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations
  • Assist in conducting camps, fundraisers, and alumni functions
  • Participate in community activities to promote your sport, your athletic department and your university as well as cultivate potential donors to the team, department, and
  • university
  • Assist in maintaining your team facilities
  • Assist the Head Coach and the NSU admissions office in identifying and recruiting students who are outstanding academically or in extracurricular activities other than athletics.
